Artist Statement
Painting is my escape, a look into my eclectic mind, in laymen’s terms… my thoughts and random ideas splattered onto canvases.
My artwork takes a critical view of social and cultural issues as well as positive and relatable messages. In my work, I deconstruct the American dream, cartoons and animated characters, promiscuously, and fashion that are part of our everyday life. Having engaged subjects as diverse as the high fashion and street wear, underground hip hop music, abstract and modernism , my work reproduces familiar visual signs, arranging them into new conceptually painted pieces.
